27th July was Norfolk Day and everyone around the county was celebrating with fetes, parties, raffles, special offers, drinks and buffets, and it’s no different here at The UK Holiday Group. Throughout the day the staff have participated in numerous fund raising events within the company. From raffles giving away bottles of wine and Woodforde’s Brewery beers, to homemade Norfolk inspired cakes and the chance to feature in a book being written by one of our staff.
The money is being raised for a very worthy cause, and one that’s close to our hearts – Nelson’s Journey. They carry out some wonderful work for bereaved children, aiming to empower them to reach their full potential and bring back smiles.
Special thanks to Carol Carter for arranging the baking of the below fabulous cakes and organising the Norfolk Day celebrations. Thanks to everyone who donated prizes to be raffled off too, it all helps us in our goals to support local charities. With all of the fundraising on the day, we raised a total of £208, which will be matched by the company’s ‘Match It’ scheme, meaning the grand total is £416!
