Andrew Rix

Head of Tour Operations

After completing my degree in Travel and Tourism Management I worked for The UK Holiday Group as Operations Controller before moving to Yorkshire for a new challenge, later returning to my hometown of Norwich and re-joining the company as Product Development Manager.

I have the exciting role of finding new destinations and hotels for the company, developing relationships with our external suppliers and carefully crafting holidays I know our customers will love.

Keri

Contracts Administrator

I first joined The UK Holiday Group working in the reservations department and then as part of the ‘just for groups!’ administration team, before taking over the role of Contracts Administrator.

My job involves overseeing the administration of contracts, while liaising with and building relationships with the hotels we use. I also work closely with the Product Development Manager, helping to secure the right product for our tours, and assist him with writing engaging copy for our brochures.

Vanessa Forster

Contracts Administrator

After completing work experience with The UK Holiday Group in 1994 I was offered a full-time position in the Reservations Department in 1995 and have been with the company ever since.
I quickly progressed my career and moved from the Reservations team to the Contracts Department where I assisted in the daily administration and formed strong working relationships with external hoteliers and suppliers. In 2011 I secured a position within the Hotel Group Division of the business, further continuing to develop relations and help the business thrive.
Recently, I have returned to my roots in contracting, directly assisting Andrew with contracting hotels and administration. The time I spent in the hotel division has been a huge help for this role going forward as I already have strong relationships with the companies we use.

Robert Barrett

Operations Assistant

Having spent the past 20 years working in the road transport arm of the logistics sector I decided to progress my career and join The UK Holiday Group.

As Operations Assistant I’m responsible for putting together the tour itineraries, Driver and Tour Manager Information packs and assist with the smooth running of the busy department, which includes routing tours, so my previous experience in transport logistics is a huge strength.

Carol Carter

Operations Administrator

Prior to joining The UK Holiday Group in 2001, I spent 22 years in road haulage and distribution, before taking the leap to become a full-time Tour Manager. I spent seven years touring all parts of the UK representing Grand UK Holidays and providing the best possible holiday for our clients.

The vast knowledge of the UK I gained from travelling the country allowed me the opportunity to transfer to head office in 2008, where I joined the Hotel Contracts department. I currently work in the Operations Department where I am able to utilise all my tour operating knowledge to research technical itineraries that are provided to all our Tour Managers and Drivers ahead of a tour departing. The team is operational seven days a week, 365 days a year, and every day brings new and exciting challenges.

Having spent 15 years working for one of the largest Book Wholesalers in the UK as Warehouse & Logistics Manager, I moved into the Road Haulage and International Freight Forwarding Sector, handling freight movements by road, air and sea for a further 10 years. The wealth of knowledge which I gained will provide a platform for me to develop my role here with The UK Holiday Group.

As Operations Controller my role includes assisting with the day-to-day running of the department, compiling Driver & Tour Manager Packs and Tour Itineraries. I also have involvement in the Glenton Operation with providing updates to the Tour Operator prior to holiday departure date.
