My role: I manage a wonderful team of reservation administrators assisting in the day to day running of the department, whether it be taking phone calls, booking clients on the holiday of their choice and administration work.

My experience: Having worked in retail for many years, I decided on a career change 7 years ago. I have always loved to travel, so joining The UK Holiday Group allowed me to combine my hobby with my career.

My favourite UK holiday destination: Has to be York. Its beautiful, cobbled streets and lanes are a definite must and for chocolate lovers a visit to the chocolate factory to sample delicious treats.

My role: I am on the other end of the phone when our wonderful customers get in touch! As the first point of contact, I carry out a variety of tasks, ranging from taking new bookings to selling insurance, to responding and assisting with any enquiries relating to existing bookings. I additionally work alongside my colleagues to carry out day-to-day administration for our customers bookings before they go on their holiday.

My experience: I first joined the Reservations Team at UKHG following a work experience placement during my time studying Travel and Tourism at College. I progressed to Reservations Team Leader then Reservations Manager and I managed the department for 13 years. After starting a family, I was delighted to return to working in the reservations department as Reservations Administrator. This role allows me to do continue working with our fabulous customers and a brilliant team on a part time basis whilst balancing home and work life.

My favourite UK holiday destination: There are so many, but the Peak District and Lake District are my favourites. I also holidayed on the Isle of Man when I was a child, and I am keen to return as an adult.

My role: I really enjoy being able to help clients find their perfect holiday destinations and securing their places for trips away, whether in the UK, or further afield. It’s a rewarding job within a positive environment and no two days are the same. As well as supporting our clients, I also assist the team with queries, amendments and administration tasks.

My experience: After over 20 years in Customer services, 15 of those with the East of England Co-op I decided to put my experience with my passion for travel and joined the UK Holiday Group in 2019.

My favourite UK holiday destination: I love Whitby the busiest place I’ve ever been. A walk along the beach to the ship wreck then back to shore for fish and chips with a good old pot of Yorkshire Tea.

My Role: As a reservation administrator I answer telephone calls for all enquiries for our tours, making bookings taking payments, offering advice & advising how we operate, as well as paperwork & administration connected with the job.

My Experience: I have worked at UK Holiday Group for 8 years & previously before that I worked at Norwich Airport for 15 years, so have experience in the travel industry.

My Favourite UK destination: There are so many lovely places in the UK that it is hard to choose! Two of my favourites are Yorkshire & Derbyshire, I love hiking the hills & the scenery is magnificent.

My Role: I enjoy all aspects of my role from offering advice, making bookings and helping with enquires to coordinating the administration of our two loyalty schemes; Travel Club and Coach Miles, these reward our lovely customers with great discounts and vouchers for being so loyal.

My Experience: I joined the UK Holiday Group at the age of 18 straight from college after receiving my diploma in Travel and Tourism and have been with the company for the last 24 years, I had worked my way up to Team Leader, then took a step back when returned after maternity leave the first time around.

My Favourite UK Holiday Destination: Would have to be Lincolnshire where I holiday with the family every year, we visit the same fishing lakes lodges where I enjoy making memories with the family.

My role: My role at the UKHG includes answering inbound telephone calls to make new coach tour bookings, assisting with any queries or amendments on existing bookings and offering advice to clients where necessary.

My experience: I have worked in the travel industry for over 10 years. My journey started after I studied an advanced diploma in travel and tourism at college, after this I completed an apprenticeship in travel services with Thomas Cook where I worked in high street travel agencies for 7 years. I joined the UKHG in 2021.

My favourite UK holiday destination: The beautiful city of Bath, where I lived for almost five years. I’ll never get bored of the pretty scenery and architecture. The Roman Baths are a must visit!

My role: I assist with the regular administration of the team regarding holiday bookings and cancellations, I also take calls from our clients and help them with bookings or giving them information about our many holiday offerings.

My experience: I’ve always loved to travel and so was delighted when I came to work for The UK Holiday Group in 2015 where I get to combine my hobby with my career. Prior to this I enjoyed welcoming guests at The Holiday Inn.

My favourite UK holiday destination: Llandudno in Wales is a firm favourite. Traditional seaside fun in a beautiful part of the world.
