I first joined the company back in 2004 aged 18, following a work experience placement during my time studying Tourism & Travel at City College in Norwich, as a Reservations Sales Administrator.

Since then I have worked hard to progress my career and I am now the manager of our busy Reservations Centre. It’s the heart of our business and I am exceptionally proud of the team I have in place who work tirelessly to make sure all our clients receive first-class service when they contact us and give the best advice about our holidays and services

I first worked for The UK Holiday Group in 2010, where I spent the summer in the Operations Department gained from a college placement to aid my studies in Tourism Management at Anglian Ruskin University in Cambridge.

After successfully completing my studies I returned to Norfolk and re-joined the company in the Reservations Department and have recently been promoted to Senior Reservations.

After moving from The Netherlands in 1994, I joined The UK Holiday Group in 2011 as part of the Reservations Team and have worked hard to progress my career.

I have travelled most of the world and have a rich history working in the Travel and Tourism industry. I work closely with the Reservations Manager and other Team Leader to ensure the smooth running of the busy day-to-day of our department. I also get involved with proof reading of our regular marketing materials, especially where the advertising of our Dutch holidays is concerned!

I assist the Reservations Manager with various staff management responsibilities as well as remaining a key sales personnel for the incoming calls we receive for all our brands. The role is incredibly varied and every day brings exciting new challenges.

After completing my degree in Film, Television & English at the University of Lincoln I found myself back in Norwich looking for employment, and it was actually my Mum, Elaine Furness, who is the Accounts Team Leader here at The UK Holiday Group who suggested I apply for a role in the Reservations Department.

My responsibilities include assisting our clients with general queries and booking their holidays, which is always a fun and satisfying thing to do, I also help with proof reading of marketing material and general Reservations administration.

Originally from Yorkshire, I have lived in Norfolk for more than 30 years now and joined The UK Holiday Group back in 2006.

My career path has been varied and I have enjoyed working in different industries, including running my own business, returning to work after raising my family. My role is to liaise with clients who call in to book holidays and also to form strong relationships with Travel Agents who sell Grand UK Holidays tours on our behalf. It’s an interesting and diverse position within the team.

I joined the company in 2009 and my main duties are the administration of cruise holidays and cancellations.

Prior to joining The UK Holiday Group my career spanned many various roles including Acting Manager at Lloyds TSB. After taking early retirement I decided I wanted a new, part-time challenge and landed my position in the busy Reservations team.

My career started off in a high street bank, where I spent 20 years in various different departments, but in 2010 I wanted a change in direction so joined the Reservations Department at The UK Holiday Group.

I’ve been with The UK Holiday Group for more than 17 years and returned to a part-time position after having my daughter in 2010.

The main focus of my role is administration and I am solely responsible for ensuring all paper work is correct and present with regards to our two Grand UK Holidays
sub-brands, Coach Miles and The UK Travel Club.

Before joining The UK Holiday Group in 2015 I worked at Norwich Airport and have always been passionate about the travel industry. Prior to starting a career in Tourism and Travel I also worked in the catering sector, so customer service has always been crucial in my work history.

I assist the team with the daily administration tasks and with taking calls to aid our clients with queries and holiday bookings.

I have always loved to travel so was keen to move into the industry to help incorporate my passion with my job. Assisting with the day-to-day admin as well as taking calls from our clients, and helping them plan their perfect holiday, is incredibly satisfying.

I’ve always loved to travel and so was delighted when I came to work for The UK Holiday Group in 2015 where I get to combine my hobby with my career.

After completing a degree in Psychosocial Studies whilst in my forties, I went on to join The UK Holiday Group’s Reservation Department.

My role is incredibly varied on a daily basis and I enjoy all the different elements, from the regular administration to speaking with our clients, forming positive relationships with them and helping them choose their perfect holiday destination.
