The aroma of freshly baked cakes filled the ‘Old Bakery’ in Norwich as our cake-loving community gathered together for a cause close to our hearts. With plates piled high with sweet treats, smiles all around, and a sprinkle of friendly competition, our charity bake sale proved to be both delicious and meaningful.

In memory of cherished colleagues and in support of Macmillan Cancer Support, the Grand UK Holidays team joined the nationwide Macmillan Coffee Morning. This annual event unites communities across the country, all with one goal: raising vital funds to support those affected by cancer.

Thanks to the generosity and enthusiasm of our staff (and their amazing baking skills!), we raised £255 in just one morning. Charity Ambassador Lyn Arnold shared: “As always, our team came together to support this wonderful cause, remembering colleagues and loved ones we’ve sadly lost. The cakes were a hit, and the £255 we raised will help make a real difference. Plus, plenty of full bellies to show for it!”

Adding a touch of fun, our Operations Team’s very own Mark Sullivan took home the grand prize wine draw for solving the “Find the Missing Coffee Beans” challenge.

For nearly a century, Macmillan Cancer Support has stood by those affected by cancer, raising millions each year to provide essential services, advice, and comfort. Their famous Coffee Morning tradition, launched in the 1990s, continues to be a simple yet powerful way for communities to contribute to life-changing support.

We’re proud to play our part in keeping this tradition alive, and we’re grateful to everyone who baked, donated, and tucked into a slice (or two!). Every pound raised helps Macmillan continue its incredible work.
