A Personal Message of Reassurance to all our Customers

You will have no doubt learned of the demise of Shearings Holidays, and a number of other holiday companies just recently, and we are sorry for the effect this is having on the customers who trusted them, and the loyal staff who relied upon them.

The global pandemic has had a huge impact not only on individuals, families and front-line workers, but also many industries and our economy. Although the travel industry is being particularly hardly hit, rest assured we have always been in business for the long term. Our company has been in the same ownership for the past 35 years and we have followed the motto ‘save for a rainy day’.  The rainy day is upon us, and our diligence and financial prudence over the past thirty five years protects us, and our customers, from any negative effect of the coronavirus crisis. We have the depth of resources to withstand whatever is thrown at us, and we will be here you for you always, come what may. As long standing ABTA members all future bookings and holiday payments are completely safe and secure, so you face no risk now or in the future.

After closing our Head Office temporarily in mid-March, as instructed by the Government, we are now gradually inviting our staff back to work in a safe and measured way. Over the next month we will be contacting all our customers whose holidays have been disrupted, offering the same holiday, at the same price, at a future date, or a Refund Credit Note which can be redeemed against any of our holidays departing in 2020 and 2021. If the Refund Credit Note has not been redeemed by March 31^st 2021 it can be exchanged for a full cash refund.

We have been working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure that you have the very best choice of holidays, at the best possible prices, when it’s once again safe to travel. In August we will be launching our best-ever range of 2020 festive holidays featuring our famous pre-Christmas Turkey & Tinsel treats, luxury Christmas Holidays and wonderful New Year celebrations. We will also be showcasing the new Spring and Summer 2021 selection and you will not be disappointed. We simply can’t wait to show you the thousands of great value holiday adventures we have in store for you.

Whilst holidays might not be a necessity, they are an important part of enrichening our lives, creating memories and making new friends, so the sooner we can enjoy them, the better. We are so looking forward to reuniting with all our loyal friends and amazing supporters. We have missed you so much over these past two months. And of course we are also looking forward to meeting a whole host of new friends too. You are so welcome to join us and become part of our amazing journey together.

We hope you all stay safe and well and have been coping throughout all the uncertainties and new normalities that Covid-19 has introduced. I think we have all had some time to reflect and re-evaluate priorities in this strange and unpredictable time.
