Grand UK Holidays has been out and about this week, connecting with local travel agents while also helping inspire the next generation of travel professionals.

Travel Trade Manager Lyn Arnold has been visiting key agency partners across Norwich alongside work experience student Molly Szemis from Norwich City College, who is currently studying for a Level 3 Travel and Tourism qualification. During the week, Molly has been gaining hands-on insight into the marketing side of the business at The UK Holiday Group. As part of her college placement, she joined Lyn on visits to several travel agencies across the city, including Hays Travel, Fred. Olsen Travel and Premier Travel, learning first-hand about life in a travel agency and the important role agents play in supporting Grand UK Holidays’ customers.

Here is Molly launching our downloadable agent posters with the team at Premier Travel Norwich:

The visits provided Molly with a valuable opportunity to see how tour operators and travel agents work together, while also giving Grand UK Holidays the chance to strengthen relationships with its local trade partners.

Kirsty Laifa, Sales and Marketing Manager at The UK Holiday Group, said:

“We are delighted to have Molly with us this week and have really enjoyed showing her what goes on behind the scenes. It’s been a great opportunity to talk about the business, the work we do as a marketing team, and the important relationships we have with our travel agent partners.”

Grand UK Holidays continues to work closely with travel agents across the UK, while also supporting young people looking to build careers in the travel and tourism industry.

Talking all things Grand UK Holidays with the team at Hays Travel, Norwich:

We’re just delighted to welcome a work experience student to the team at Grand UK Holidays this week. It’s always a pleasure to open our doors to students passionate about the tourism industry and eager to learn how the sector operates behind the scenes. Supporting the next generation of tourism professionals is incredibly important to us. With Norwich being home to talented and ambitious tourism students, we’re proud to play a small part in helping them gain real-world experience and insight into the travel industry. We hope this placement provides a valuable glimpse into the exciting world of travel and tourism and helps inspire a future career in tourism.
