4th October 2010
Sunrise has seen sales storm ahead thanks to effective advertising and direct mailings.
Marketing executive Donna Tarr said: “We have had an amazing 2010, increasing our passenger numbers from 7,500 in 2008/9 to 11,000 in 2009/10.”
The brand has expanded its marketing to South Essex and is developing a successful partnership with Archant Reader Travel.
“We have provided Archant Reader Travel with 30 tours in 2010, giving us nearly 1,000 passengers,” added Donna.
The Sunrise brochure for 2011 features more than 20 new tours, including January Superdeals priced at £99 for five days, two Irish tours by air and European seven-day coach holidays to Valkenburg and the Harz Mountains (see accompanying picture of Harz mountain scenery).
Additions for 2011 also include two river cruises, plus extra ocean cruise options onboard the Ocean Countess, such as a Wartime Memories cruise visiting Guernsey, Dunkirk and Amsterdam.
In the UK, Sunrise has added new resorts - Cliftonville, Bideford, Pontins at Prestatyn in North Wales - as well as fresh holidays in Torquay and Bournemouth.
