Sunrise scores with Wembley final
19th May 2010
Sunrise took 104 football fans from Norfolk to see local team Wroxham compete at Wembley in the final of the FA Vase.
Sadly, Wroxham were thrashed 6-1 by Vase holders Whitley Bay – but Sunrise’s fortunes are faring much better.
Marketing executive Donna Tarr said: “We are currently 26% passengers up compared to this time last year and this does not include activity from Reader Travel and the new South Essex region. The sales increase is solely due to a persistent direct mailing campaign.
“Booking trends have moved towards clients wanting to book around 12 weeks before departure.”
After four successful tours in winter, Reader Travel Archant agreed a further 16 Sunrise tours departing from East Anglia.
Sunrise is still investing in its new South Essex region with leaflets and direct mailings, and hopes to further boost awareness and sales by arranging a Reader Travel deal.
