Over-55s specialist Grand UK Holidays has appointed a new sales and marketing executive to boost its promotional activities.
Lucy Grace joins the Norwich-based tour operator from local holiday lettings agency, Norfolk Country Cottages, where she was marketing assistant then marketing executive.
She graduated in 2008 from the University of East Anglia with a 2:1 degree in business management.
Her new role at Grand UK’s head office will involve liaising with travel agents, overseeing the operator's website www.grandukholidays.com and assisting with brochure launches.
Harold Burke, sales director at Grand UK Holidays, said: “We are delighted to welcome Lucy to join our team.
“We have had another busy summer this year and forward bookings are looking strong, so we are looking to build on that success with Lucy’s appointment.
“We are just about to release our summer 2011 brochure which has plenty of new holidays and destinations, so her first task is to promote those to our travel agency partners.”
Lucy added: “I am very excited to be joining such a well established and flourishing company.
“I am looking forward to working with the trade as agency sales are a key part of Grand UK’s sales strategy.
“Grand UK Holidays has seen a surge in bookings for its dedicated ‘direct by coach’ holidays run in conjunction with selected agencies, so I hope to keep that momentum going.
“I will also be looking at new ways to work with trade partners and expand the number of agents with whom we work.”
