Over-55s specialist Grand UK Holidays still has some limited availability on departures next month, for mature travellers looking for a late booking.
Here are some of the late availability departures on five-day escorted coach tours from Grand UK Holidays, with departures on 7th May. All holidays include coach travel, excursions and half-board accommodation.
East Coast Safari (£249)
This holiday features visits to two of Britain’s most progressive and most important wildlife parks –Banham Zoo and Africa Alive! – and includes special treats that are not available to other visitors.
It also visits the resort of Southwold and is based at the Nelson Hotel in Great Yarmouth.
Battle of Britain (£269)
This Lincolnshire-based holiday includes trips to RAF Digby, for a guided tour of the now restored Operations Room; Woodhall Spa and Thorpe Camp, a museum dedicated to 617 Squadron; Newark Air Museum; and Lincoln via the memorial at RAF Scampton and the grave of Guy Gibson’s dog who died on the night of the Dambusters raid.
It also offers an excursion to RAF Coningsby, home of The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, and a visit to the Aviation Heritage Centre at East Kirkby.
It is based at the County Hotel in Skegness.
Chatsworth & the High Peaks (£369)
Based at the luxurious Palace Hotel in Buxton, this holiday includes trips to see stunning Peak District scenery, Chatsworth House, Snake Pass, Ladybower Reservoir, Bakewell and Castleton.
Kingdom of Northumbria (£279)
This holiday visits Northumbria’s Heritage Coastline, Holy Island, Hexham, Kielder Forest, Alnwick and Durham, and is based at the Park Hotel, Tynemouth.
