Grand UK Holidays Adds To Festive Programme
3rd November 2009
Christmas has come early for Grand UK Holidays which starts its Turkey & Tinsel holidays today, and is adding capacity to its festive programme. The over-55s specialist has included new features in its ever-popular Turkey & Tinsel programme so holidaymakers in the operator’s own hotels have added ‘Festive Fizz’.
A few spaces remain for those looking for a five-day T&T break to celebrate the festive season during November and early December. For those looking to get away over the Christmas and New Year period between December 23 and January 2, the operator also has some limited availability left at selected hotels around the UK.
Sales director Harold Burke said: “Our Turkey & Tinsel breaks and our Christmas holidays are some of the most popular tours in our whole programme, with some of them being booked as soon as the winter brochure was released back in May.
“We are still adding capacity for Christmas because of demand, so there are hotels which still have availability, including rooms for singles.”
The traditional five-day Turkey & Tinsel package is available at a range of hotels in popular resort destinations, and offers the chance to celebrate ‘Christmas Eve’, ‘Christmas Day’ and ‘Boxing Day’. The price also includes two full-day excursions plus a mystery tour.
The new ‘Festive Fizz’ package is at eight Grand UK Hotels, where holidaymakers can also celebrate ‘New Year’s Eve’ and ‘New Year’s Day’ in addition to ‘Christmas Eve’, and ‘Christmas Day’.
Prices start at £195 for coach travel, half-board accommodation, three nights of festive entertainment and three sightseeing excursions. Departure dates are throughout November and early December.
Christmas and New Year breaks are still available across the UK, with the chance to combine both festive breaks into an 11-day holiday and get the three nights in between for just £10 per person per night at selected hotels.
Prices start at £315 for the five-day Christmas holidays, departing December 23, and from £239 for the four-day New Year breaks, departing December 30.
Burke added: “We are seeing growing numbers of customers travelling over the Christmas period, especially singles, as they relish the chance to celebrate with other folks – and not have to worry about driving!”
