Golden blend of Cotswold highlights is a hit
7th April 2014
A new escorted coach tour of the Cotswold Hills is proving a top-seller for over-55s specialist Grand UK Holidays.
‘Cotswold Gold’ has been added to the ‘Grand UK Gold’ range of luxury coach holidays for 2014, and is already selling fast.
Based at the prestigious Cheltenham Park Hotel, the tour visits the cream of the Cotswolds, including two National Trust properties: Hidcote Manor Garden – famous for its ‘arts and crafts’ gardens – and Hanbury Hall & Gardens, with restored 18th Century interiors and gardens.
Also on the tour are the pretty market town of Stow-on-the-Wold; the cathedral city of Worcester; and scenic villages such as Bourton-on-the-Water, Burford and Broadway, known as the ‘Jewel of the Cotswolds’.
Sales director Harold Burke said: “We’re seeing strong demand for UK holidays as our customers are eager to explore the unrivalled range of scenery, attractions and historical sites we have on our doorstep.
“This new tour for 2014 has proved to be a particular hit thanks to the combination of beautiful gardens, manor houses and picture-postcard villages.
“Customers are still keen to treat themselves too, and are booking our ‘Grand UK Gold’ tours which offer extras such as a luxury coach, our special Gold Welcome Pack with useful travel goodies, and a welcome reception with a complimentary glass of wine and a special commemorative photograph.”
‘Cotswold Gold’ is a five-day holiday and offers departures from May to September, costing from £399pp.
It is among more than 30 new tours in the UK and Ireland for 2014, which marks the 30th anniversary of the founding of Grand UK Holidays.
