Over-55s specialist Grand UK Holidays has some limited availability on its holidays departing in August for mature travellers looking for a late booking.

The eight-day escorted coach tours, departing on 19 August, include coach travel, excursions and half-board accommodation.

Based in the resort of Blackpool, this holiday also includes two full-day excursions, to see Lytham St Anne’s and Southport, and the Lake District National Park.

Accommodation is in the Parisienne in Blackpool, whic enjoys one of the best seafront positions on the fashionable North Promenade, close to the town centre, theatres and attractions.  

Yorkshire Coast & Country, £269pp

This holiday is based in our own hotel, the Monarch, which is right on the seafront.

It offers two full-day excursions – one to Scarborough, Filey and Flamborough Head, and the other to Whitby, Goathland and Pickering.

The Heart of Wales: Victorian Week, £419pp

The spa town of Llandrindod Wells is one of Britain’s hidden treasures. Our tour departing on 19 August offers the chance to see the famous Victorian Festival when locals and businesses step back into the 19th Century.

It also offers excursions to see Aberystwyth, Elan Valley and the Cambrian Mountains.

England’s Lakeland, £469pp

Based at our hotel, the County in Kendal, this holiday offers two full-day excursions to visit Lakeland sights at Hawkshead, Bowness, Grasmere, Keswick and Kirkstone Pass.

The County Hotel is a former coaching inn and features a sprung dance floor.
