Busy Bridlington boosts bookings at Monarch
20th June 2012
The Monarch Hotel has been busy since spring, thanks to a host of events at the hotel and the nearby Spa Theatre in Bridlington.
Steve Matheson, general manager, said several annual events held at the Grand UK Hotels property have been booked up for the next five years.
These include visits from those taking part in a dance festival and the annual Bridlington Experience gala weekend for the National Operatic and Dramatic Association (NODA).
The hotel is also catering for the next five years for the annual dinner of the local Coldstream Guards Association and the 5th Royal Tank Regiment Reunion Association.
“We are seeing continued good business from the events at the Spa Theatre which have included concerts by Ken Dodd, Jools Holland and Jimmy Tarbuck,” added Steve.
Events for the summer include the annual Northern Soul weekender which starts on 22 June and that has meant the hotel is full, he added.
“We are also getting good guest feed-back about the new menus,” Steve commented.
“Let’s hope the beach and Spa events keep the punters rolling in.”
