Budget breaks that won't break the bank

Over-55s specialist Grand UK Holidays features a range of short breaks in the UK in its summer 2013 brochure, starting from just £99pp for four days.

The coach tours operator also features magical mystery tours, starting from £149pp for four days.

Other bargains in its 2013 brochure include the five-day Annual Holiday Reunion, which costs £179pp, and takes place at the Mill Rythe Holiday Village on Hayling Island.

Making a return for 2013 are the Long Stay UK! Holidays, which offer holidays of 19, 26 or 33 days, including half-board accommodation and coach travel. These can work out as little as £23 per day.

They also mean customers can forget about shopping or washing-up for weeks on end, and relax in the company of like-minded holidaymakers.

Harold Burke, sales director, said: “Our customers always demand good deals from their holidays, whether we offer luxury coach tours or trips at the value end of our range.

“Our customers are not tied into school term times or any work-based holiday restrictions, so they can take advantage of trips taking place in the quieter times of the year, which are cheaper.

“Also, with many of our trips being hobby holidays or specialist interest breaks, it doesn’t really matter what the weather is like, so travelling out of season is not an issue.”
